i am in love with the Greeks: their myths, their philosophies, their outstanding personalities, their civilization, their glory. it must be because i was given a supposedly Greek name. two people, who are quite learned on the Greeks (my auntie who gave me my name and the mother of a friend who's fascinated with the Greeks as well), have told me about the Grecian origins of my name. but up until now, i still haven't found my name's Greek relations in my searches.

anyway, why were the Greeks chosen to be the "bearers of light" in the formerly uncivilized world? bakit hindi ang mga pinoy?

this is my first post for writelit. do i belong here? the tagline says "Where writers and readers meet." Surely, i am a reader; but am i a writer? am i qualified to be one?

well, i suppose i am if all it takes is guts and ambition. i have always considered myself to be one, a writer, and all my life this is all i've ever wanted: to write, to be read, to be appreciated, to be remembered.

i am hoping that having a blog hosted by writelit will take me even half a step further to my dreams.
