Just ordered online at A1Books.com How to Write Killer Historical Mysteries: The Art and Adventure of Sleuthing Through the Past by Kathy Lynn Emerson. I have been waiting for this book since last year, and from what I recall, based on what Ms. Emerson herself told me via e-mail last year, it only came out April of this year, 2008.

The process was quick. I just created an account with A1Books, and placed the order using my PayPal account. What's great is that A1Books itself carry this title (anyone can sell at A1Books), and the price is only around half the list price -- US$7.48 instead of US$14.96. I guess it's their promo for new users or more probably the publisher, Perseverance Press, gives them a discounted/wholesale price. Since I'm from the Philippines, an International destination instead of the U.S., the shipping and handling charge is US$8.99 instead of the usual US$3.99.

According to their Shopping Cart FAQ, I should get my order in 14-21 days. 21 days from now is on the 24th. Add the 1 week delivery of notice from the local post office, and I will get it around 1st week of August. Can't wait. This book will really help me with the historical mystery novel I'm writing.
