*HOLLYWOOD - Angry Lindsay Lohan has hit back at reports she and boyfriend Harry Morton have split, insisting the rumors are "not true." (The New Denial Queen?)
*HOLLYWOOD - Mel Gibson launched a scathing verbal attack on the war in Iraq during promotion for his new film Apocalypto.
He said, "The precursors to a civilization that's going under are the same, time and time again. What's human sacrifice if not sending guys off to Iraq for no reason?" (Mel's got a point! Let's spread PEACE not war.)
*HOLLYWOOD - Talk-show queen Oprah Winfrey is poised to take over the world of radio after launching her own satellite radio channel this morning.
Winfrey signed a three-year, $55 million deal with XM Satellite Radio Holdings Inc. for the new channel, called Oprah and Friends, in February. (Whooow! She's making money ever!)
* HOLLYWOOD - Actor William Petersen is set to turn his back on his starring role in CSI: Crime Scene Investigation to make a return to the Chicago stage.
The 53-year-old contract with the CBS show came to end when filming on the seventh season concluded, and he has not signed a new one to guarantee his character Gil Grissom will feature in the planned eighth season.
He says, "I plan to go back to Chicago and do plays starting next year. (Oh, why? Too bad! But, it's his choice. What's in Chicago anyway?)
