Welcome to PinoyFilm.com, your Filipino Filmmaking Portal!

Digital technology, undoubtedly, has helped Filipino filmmaking make a comeback, although it is arguable that it has ever left the building, perhaps having simply hid within the nooks and crannies, waiting for an opportune time to resurface in a grand way. That time is now. At the very least, we are seeing signs of the dawning of a new Golden Age of Philippine Cinema. It is the vision of PinoyFilm.com to help facilitate that process.

PinoyFilm.com aims to be the repository of Filipino films (and foreign films, as well) and a venue to discuss the merits of these creative works. In effect, one of its goals is to provide a marketing platform for these films – to help further popularize Philippine films, especially those cinematic works which need introduction or re-introduction to the viewing public. Globally, it aspires to be cyberspace’s one-stop shop for those who intend to get a taste of, experience, or even better, distribute Filipino movies in all their diversity.

PinoyFilm.com is also an online interactive workshop, a place to talk shop about the art of filmmaking, where one can trade and share filmmaking experience and knowledge. And lastly, PinoyFilm.com is a venue for collaboration, a place to look for or meet like-minded persons who could help you realize your cinematic vision and goals.

So tarry no longer, folks. The time is now. You may start by registering and looking at the Posting Guidelines -- you may post in English and/or Filipino. Happy posting (and shooting everyone)! Mabuhay ang Pelikulang Pilipino!
