Universally hated

Question:who is the most universally hated living political persona in our planet?

Even a school kid knows the answer: George W. Bush. Or, George Hitler Bush, as some of us like to call him.

In Iraq alone, he killed two million people.

No wonder then that in a recent press conference in Iraq, Muntadat al-Zaidi, a TV repoter, threw his shoe at Bush. The footwear missed Bush's face because he ducked just in time. Zaidi was heard yelling, "This is a farewell kiss, you dog."

When I saw the footage on my TV, I could not help laughing out loud. What an avenge! How I wished the footwear had hit his face sharply. In the last chapter of my novel SHADOWLAND, I had a politician being hit by a footwear by a common man who came to seek justice from him. The politician fell off his revolving chair, and got fearful of his life.

But George Bush seemed to take it casually. "I don't know what the guy's cause is," he joked with the mediapersons, "I didn't feel the least threatened by it."

That's George Bush for you: the criminal bully who would never give in.

The interesting thing is, this shoe attack has spawned a number of online video games. And their popularity is growing each day, reflecting the universal loathing the people across the world have for the outgoing US President.

In one virtual game, players are invited to take aim at Bush, even as he bobs and weaves on the podium. At the end of the game, every successful player is greeted with a flashing message:YES YOU CAN!

More than half a million viewers have viewed the footage of the attack on YouTube. If you watch the clip attentively, you can't miss on one thing: Bush's Secret Service does not move to protect the President until the second shoe has been thrown.

Does it carry any message for Bush's life after presidency?

My kudos to Muntadar al-Zaidi for his great job!
