MGM BLOG: WHO OWNS THE PLANET EARTH? (PART 2)

Who owns the planet Earth?

We vigorously assert that all human beings collectively own the planet Earth!

Co-ownership of the planet Earth is a birthright, a primordial right of every man because it is God-given. For this reason, no other human being, no human organization, no government can take away that right from him!

Denying a human being, a family, a clan, a tribe, a community, or a nation the right to own a piece of the earth on which to settle down ultimately leads to violent conflict. History bears this out. In fact, history tells us that most major human conflicts were caused by the violation of this primordial right of man.

The simplest way, therefore, of ending current conflicts or preventing future ones is to foster respect for this birthright of man.

And the fastest way to do this is to organize a global movement that would work for the total acceptance of and respect for the Co-Ownership-Of-The-Earth Right of Man (COTE RIGHT OF MAN).

We are under no illusion that accomplishing our mission will be easy. We are fully aware of the enormity of this undertaking and the many obstacles we shall meet as we pursue our advocacy. We are undaunted nonetheless. As the Chinese proverb goes, The journey of a thousand miles must begin with a single step.

That completing our journey or attaining our objective might take  a thousand years – when all of us now living will have long passed on to another world -- is of no moment. What matters is for us to take that first step, follow it with another ten steps, follow these with a hundred, follow these with a thousand more … with a hundred thousand more … and so on … down the avenue of time until the day comes when this newly-found right of man is enshrined in every man’s heart!

Readers of this post who believe in the validity of the primordial right of man, will be happy to know that this writer, who originally brought forward the issue of co-ownership of the planet Earth, has already conceived of a master plan to bring about the realization of their aspirations.

Implementation of this plan will begin in due time.
